ABOUT

Born in 1961 in a suburb of Paris, he studied photography and audiovisual at the University of Aix-Marseille from 1981 to 1983.

From 1983 to 1986, he worked as an assistant in various photography studios in Paris, including Studio Daguerre and Pin-up Studio, before serving as the personal assistant to photographer Dominique Issermann.

In 1987, he began his career as a freelance photographer, specializing in interior architecture and portraiture. He quickly became sought after by prestigious magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Architectural Digest, The New York Times Magazine, The World of Interiors, and Marie Claire for photography assignments.

During the 1990s, he started producing his own stories on interiors and portraits, which led to a growing interest in artists. He began visiting their studios and, from that period, started proposing complete features directly to magazines, sometimes accompanied by texts he commissioned from writers.

In 1994, he met artist Louise Bourgeois in her studio and proposed working on her personal environment for the magazine Connaissance des Arts. This encounter marked the beginning of a long professional and personal relationship with Louise Bourgeois, who invited him to "come back whenever he wished," which he did for 11 years.

In 2004, he founded the photographic agency Luxproductions, which sold his stories to over 250 magazines worldwide, primarily in the fields of interior design and weekly supplements. Among these publications were The World of Interiors, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Architectural Digest, Elle and Elle Decoration, The New York Times Magazine, The London Times Magazine, Wallpaper, Art Review, and Connaissance des Arts.

For the past decade, he has completed commissions for art galleries, artists in their studios, and art installations. He has collaborated with renowned galleries such as Levy Gorvy Gallery (now LGDR), Kamel Mennour, Xavier Hufkens, Maison Gerard NY, and Hauser & Wirth.

In 2012, he began exhibiting his photographs in galleries, initially focusing on his work with Louise Bourgeois.

Since then, he has published over 10 books, some of which have become iconic, such as his book on Louise Bourgeois, which reflects their 11 years of close collaboration.

More recently, he has also created private books for art collectors.
